Bluebird of Happiness

I had typed the word happiness this morning as it has really been on my mind. It was a bit of a stressful work day and this evening I was visited by these lovely little bluebirds. I was sneaking out the back door to try to get a little better photo and was just going to focus the camera and I heard a loud noise. Trying to figure out where it was coming from I looked up in time to see a golf ball whiz by and hit the fence. The bluebirds went flying but I was lucky to get this shot before they took off. These bluebirds bring me so much happiness. I was reminded that happiness comes in such small packages and in the little things if we take the time to look for them. Sunshine, a light summer rain, the cool breeze (it only hit 87 today in Dallas), and a few minutes watching the birds enjoying the day.
I’m new to this whole blogging thing and I am participating in “blogging fundamentals”. Today’s assignment was to think about who I wanted to read my posts. Funny how my plan was to focus on places to move in retirement and trying new things, instead I keep coming back to finding things that make you smile and happy today. Here is another one of my feathered friends that came to visit today, for me, taking a few minutes to spend some time in nature, sure helps the stress melt away.
