Be here now…
It’s been a really long time since I have felt compelled to write. I’m not sure where my voice went this last year but like so many of us, I seem to have more time on my hands. The world has come to a speeding stop, different then we have seen, at least in my lifetime. In order to keep my mind in a good place and not dwelling on the chaos out there I have decided to be present in the day. I wake up each morning and try to evaluate what I can do so that I can appreciate everyday. I take more walks around the yard looking at every new bloom on my roses and irises. I look for the number and variety of birds at the feeders in the yard. I take time to play with my pups and let them know how much I love them.
A week or so ago, I signed up for a course that I have been saving for myself for my future retirement. Even though I am still working full time, I needed a diversion that would help me learn and explore the beauty in the world. With the world changes and the industry that I am in it looks like my wish of an early retirement might be coming true. So it turns out this may be a win-win! I have followed Dreama Perry’s art classes for many years. Luckily her new program, Dream Flow just came out right at the intersection of when I needed it. I have no real art background but honestly I can’t wait to explore oil and watercolors and the chance to capture some of the beauty out there.
I hope everyone is staying safe and finding some little joys in everyday. We are all in this together.

So great to see a new post from you in my inbox. As most everyone, we are SAH and cannot believe these unprecedented times. I hope you do in fact land in a win-win stuation as I found myself in three years ago. I wish you well with your artistic pursuits.
